Experiment 1

I have decided to create a stair for the top half of the house I modelled. The design is a spiral staircase:

During the design of the stairs, I decided to add in some extra parts to demonstrate its application

The 2D figure is left there to act as a scale during the modelling of the stairs. The pole and railings are made of steel for strength. The black railing is used to correspond with the steel beams that holds up the building. Similarly, the stairs are also made of wood to match the wooden exterior of the building.

SketchUp model of house

The words that I chose to work with was instrumental (top) and oscillate (bottom)

The SketchUp model I have created is a little bit different compared to the sketch since I have altered some parts to fit the words better.
The roofing is made of tiles and aluminium panels. The walls are made of wood to resemble a guitar which correlates with instrumental.
The lower half of the house is curved and jagged to represent oscillations. This underground structure is supported by internal shoring, as well as steel beams.

 Creative work

This is a remote-controlled device that was designed for an engineering project. This was assembled from a budget of $200 and had to consist of at least one articulation point. Additionally, this device was designed to be able to mount a ramp, as well as carry and load to and from and certain point.

Image of architecture

This piece of architecture is called the Arch of Constantine. It is located in Italy, Rome, next to the Colosseum. This piece of work was constructed as a celebration for Constantine's victory over Maxentius. Interestingly, the Romans liked their architecture to have an obvious entrance, hence there is the use of a large arch, which is accompanied by smaller arches on both sides.

Original photograph

This photo was taken in 2016 at the Wollongong Botanical Gardens. The clear pond acts as an almost perfect mirror to produce the reflection of the flowers and sky.
